Questions about camping

The camping welcomes campers with a caravan, a campervan, folding trailer or a tent. A campervan less than 6.5 metres will fit on most camping pitches, excepting those exclusively intended for tents. All caravan pitches are suitable for campervans too, except those in the area of Liguster. The ground is softer there, increasing the risk your campervan subsides. If your campervan exceeds 6.5 metres, you should book a pitch with preference, so that you can choose the right size pitch. You can do this with the ‘Choose your own pitch’- button when booking online.

Our pitches are suitable for a tent, campervan, caravan, roof tent and/or folding trailer. If you click on "Choose your pitch" while booking, you can see the suitable pitches that are still available in the period you have indicated. So you can see if everything fits! Exceptions: Dunespot tent, Loungespot tent, Beachspot Schelpengat with or without electricity, and De Slurf are intended for tents only.

camping

These are tent pitches located on sand. On the map they are the brown pitches at Schelpengat. They come with (B1 t/m 22) or without (B23 t/m 34) electricity. They are suitable for a tent that sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Cook your dinner on the communal electric barbecue, fully included!

These have a private water tap, electricity, a drain and a hammock on the pitch. They are the green pitches on the map.

These are the red pitches on the map, and they have electricity.

Dunespot

These are the centrally located red pitches. They have electricity and can are rented from Saturday to Saturday.

Dunespot Week

The Dunespot tent pitches are indicated by the red pitches on the map. They are for tents only and offer electricity.

Dunespot tent

These pitches have electricity, a picnic table and are larger or more private than other pitches. They are represented by the black pitches on the map, in the middle of the campsite. They can be booked from Saturday to Saturday.

 Loungespot Week

These pitches - for tents only - have electricity, a picnic table and are larger or more private than others. They are the black pitches on the map.

Loungespot tent

These pitches have electricity, a picnic table and they are larger or more private than other pitches. They are the black pitches on the map.

At Playtown there are trampolines and sand pits between the pitches, as they are aimed at families with children between 2-10 years old. They are the blue pitches on the map, and they come with electricity.

Playtown

Relax pitches have electricity, and a hammock at the pitch. They are the purple pitches on the map.

These are tent pitches on sand, in a unique dune valley, indicated on the map by the brown pitches S1 to 6. They are suitable for 2 people per pitch, without electricity.

Slurf

How nice that you are in possession of an ACSI / ADAC card. Unfortunately, you can no longer camp with us at the ACSI / ADAC rate.

We regret that you can't, the minimum stay is 2 nights. If you only wish to stay for 1 night you can take potluck, and we'll try and find a vacancy for you. There is however no guarantee that there will be one.

Booking multiple pitches next to each other is possible, provided you take those on nearby pitches into account, so they have a relaxing holiday too. You can indicate when booking online (or by telephone) if you want to book multiple adjacent pitches. Choose the desired category first (such as Dunespot or Loungespot), and then that you want to book with preference. Each family can book with preference in their own name. Please be aware that booking with preference incurs extra costs. You'll find our tariffs here.

You can stay with us with a maximum of 2 adults, plus 4 children. A total of 6 people. We have no possibilities for groups of adults, but if you want to camp together with other families, you can. You can book your pitches with preference, so that you can stay on adjacent pitches. However, you are not allowed to set up 'communal areas'.

That depends on the pitch! It is possible at camping pitches, but not at tent pitches. Camping pitches have room for one car only. If you bring a 2nd car you'll need a parking pass from Reception, in order to park your car in the large car park, provided there is availability. It is not possible to park at Beachspot Schelpengat, Slurf or at the special Dune and Loungespot tent pitches. The ground is too soft for this. In case of no parking availability you may be able to park your car on the boulevard.

As a rule you may put one large camping vehicle on the pitch, plus a small extra tent (2-man dome tent). For example, a caravan or campervan with a small extra tent, or a family tent with a separate small tent. Our special tent pitches (Beachspot Schelpengat and the other tent pitches) allow a maximum of two 2-man tents or one tent sleeping 4. Except for Slurf pitches, where only one 2-man tent is allowed.

You can stay with us with a maximum of 2 adults and 4 children, so 6 people in total. Prices for our camping pitches are based on 4 people: if you bring a 5th and 6th, you'll need to take some extra costs into account.

Exception:
On Dunespot tent and Beachspot Schelpengat the maximum is 2 adults and 2 children. A Slurf pitch is restricted to 2 people.

camping

All our pitches are fitted with 16 Amp electricity, available 24/7, except the left hand side of Schelpengat and the pitches on Slurf. Do remember that you need a Euro plug to be able to connect!

Our pitches are ready for you from 14:00. We request that you vacate your pitch by 11:00 in the morning.

The backpacker tariff is for guests who arrive on foot, by bicycle or by public transport, without booking in advance. They pay a reduced price and stay on the special backpacker field for a maximum of 3 nights. A maximum of 4 people can make use of the backpacker tariff. The minimum is 1 night when you come by whitout a reservation. Reservations are possible from 2 nights. You can stay with us for a maximum of 21 consecutive nights.

Great, you'll be getting a visitor! If someone comes to stay with you, we need to charge tourist tax. If you are then staying on the pitch with more than 4 persons, we also need to charge "extra persons" costs.

If you wish to choose your own specific spot, you can! You can indicate when booking online whether you want to book multiple, adjacent pitches. Choose the desired category first (such as Dunespot or Loungespot), and then that you want to book with preference. Each family can book with preference in their own name. You can book a pitch with preference - in which case you choose your own pitch number. This incurs preference costs. If you do not indicate a preference, you'll find out your pitch number on arrival. If you pay in full and let us know your vehicle registration number before you arrive, you can download your barrier pass from 48 hrs before arriving. At the same time you'll find your pitch number under 'My Bookings' in your 'MydeLakens'.

All pitches are suitable for families. In one place a maximum of 2 adults and (possibly) max. 4 children. We do not have availability for groups.
