Restaurant Gestrand lays on Camping de Lakens. The beautiful restaurant has an open character and offers a breathtaking view on the surrounding dunes. From the terrace you'll be able to look across the natural playing area up to the adventurous slide and zipline. Enjoy the sun setting in the west during a summersnight, or get cozy around the fireplace in winter.
Gestrand is open every day, during the campingseason and otherwise in weekends. From breakfast and lunch to diner and drinks in the evening. The menu offers a wide range of meals where we focus on organic foods and vega(n) wishes. There's also a great TAKE | STAY menu so you may grab your food and drinks to have them on your campingspot or anywhere else.
Water and sand Endless fun
Kids will have hours of fun at Gestrand! There is a challenging outdoor playground with a high slide, a zipline, swings and various play equipment where you can play with water and sand. During the high season, Zep will be dancing on stage or performances take place here. Underneath the restaurant, children will discover the Zep Zone, a adventurous indoor playground and an activity room where all sorts of cool things happen during the camping season. Enjoy a good coffee or a refreshing drink while they zip, slide and craft! Hungry after playing? No problem, we have special dishes on the menu for kids!
On the menu
The menu offers a great variety of modern and classical dishes, of which also a lot of vega(n) options. Go grab a good coffee with some cake, have breakfast or enjoy a fine lunch with our typical Dutch dish of famous ragout croquettes, or go for a healthy salad and smoothie. We also offer some fine cocktails, draft beers and wines which go perfectly with some bites, like nacho's or pizza. For the kids we have a special menu with of course the cool Zeppie Mealbox and some delicious Dutch Poffertjes; small pancakes with powdered sugar and butter. Gestrand has its own unique white beer, called Shaka. This is brewed by local brewery Dampegheest.

Restaurant Gestrand is the perfect location for enchanting tailer-made parties and events. Every business meeting, anniversary, wedding or christmass party will be special! The windows all around provide a great open atmosphere and a breathtaking view. The surroundings are beautiful and makes guest feel free. Almost everything is possible considering decoration and catering, both via external suppliers or custom made inhouse, it will all be taken care off.
