We had a Comfort Pitch, one with a hammock and our own tap. A nice, spacious pitch in the dunes. Rabbits played around the caravan, loads of sparrows visited at lunchtime and we even saw a fox.

Arrival is after 14:00 every day. Departure is before 11:00.
Wellness
Use of our sauna facilities is free and without limit during your stay.
Preference
Do you have a preference concerning your pitch? Do you want to be next to each other? Is your camping vehicle longer than 6.5 metres? Then book your preferred pitch, so that it will be the right size and in the right place. You do this via the ‘Choose your pitch’- button when you book online.

- What facilities are there?

The campsite has a restaurant, a supermarket, bicycle rental, several playgrounds, heated washrooms, a sauna, and the Wellness Dome. It also offers a fitness center, sports lessons, WiFi, and recreation and entertainment in the holiday periods and during a number of weekends.
- Is there a restaurant?

Yes, we have an onsite restaurant. It's called "Gestrand", and you'll find it in the middle of the campsite, a 10-minute walk from the beach. Restaurant Gestrand is open for everyone! You're just as welcome if you're not staying on the campsite, and can drive your car very close to the entrance of the restaurant, which makes it easy for guests who use a wheelchair. The restaurant has a disabled toilet too. There are several vegetarian and vegan options on the menu; just let us know your preferences when you book! You can park your car in the car park behind the barriers of Camping De Lakens, provided there is availability. Reception has a day parking pass, and an evening parking pass for those who arrive after 18:00. If you spend €75 or more at Gestrand we pick up your parking costs and subtract them from your bill. Hungry yet? Please check the up to date opening times on the website under "Gestrand opening times". You can eat in, or take out.
- Do you have special pitches for campervans?

The camping welcomes campers with a caravan, a campervan, folding trailer or a tent. A campervan less than 6.5 metres will fit on most camping pitches, excepting those exclusively intended for tents. All caravan pitches are suitable for campervans too, except those in the area of Liguster. The ground is softer there, increasing the risk your campervan subsides. If your campervan exceeds 6.5 metres, you should book a pitch with preference, so that you can choose the right size pitch. You can do this with the ‘Choose your own pitch’- button when booking online.
- How do I get into the Kennemer Dunes?

You can walk into the stunning natural area of the Kennemerduinen for a walk and/or a bike ride straight from the campsite. Please check the map to find out where the entrances to the National Park are. You can also access the dune area from the other side of Zeeweg. Please find more information about nature, the Visitor's Centre, European bison and Highland cattle on the National Park Zuid-Kennemerland website.
Beautiful campsite in the dunes. Nice pitches with hammocks. The beach is very close. Service in the restaurant was good and the food excellent. Very clean washrooms.
