Wisent spotting
'Europe's Big Five' in the Netherlands! Since 2007, a herd of wisents have been living in “De Kraansvlak” – a closed section of the National Park Zuid-Kennemerland. The area will be opend in september.
Not so long ago, the Wisent were no longer to be found in the wild and now they can (fortunately) be seen in nature again.
The Wisent Trail is open from September to March. During the breeding period, the area is partly closed, but then you can still spot the Wisent at the viewpoint.
